Jack C. Marlow, 89

Jack C. Marlow, 89, of North Platte, Neb., passed away May 29, 2010, at his home in North Platte. Jack was born May 6, 1921, in Aurora, Neb., to Orval Lee Marlow and Grace Annetta Conger.

He graduated from Sandy Creek High School. He served six years in the Navy during WWII. He worked four years in the Postal Service in Spokane, Wash. On March 6, 1954, he married Barbara Stolzenburg in Herkimer, Kan. He retired from UPRR in 1986 after 35 years. He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, member of George Washington Lodge No. 250, in Lincoln, Neb., receiving the Jordan Medal on June 5, 2005, past High Priest Royal Arch of Spirit Lake, life member of VFW and American Legion.

He was preceded in death by parents, daughter Annetta and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara of North Platte; three sons, Orval Lee Marlow II (Paige) of Houston, Texas, Michael Marlow (Tammy) of Helena, Mont., Joel Marlow (Katy) of Post Falls; 10 grandchildren and one sister, Marian Lund of Tucson, Ariz.
