BAYVIEW — On Saturday, July 3, Bayview is celebrating its 100th birthday.

Bayview residents Steve and Sandy May said to expect a great fireworks show.

“If you’ve never experienced the fireworks show in Bayview, we’ll this is the one to be at,” Steve said. “The fantastic booms resonate across the lake then up and down the surrounding mountains for a spectacular show of fireworks and sound.”

This reporter has seen the fireworks show in Bayview a number of times. The Mays are exactly right.

The fireworks strike at 10 p.m., Steve said.

Before the fireworks?

Steve said there’ll be a parade on Main Street, which starts at 11 a.m.

There’s a hot rod car show, floating homes tour (highly recommended), and historic walking tours outlining Bayview’s colorful history.

Steve said street vendors will have booths set up all weekend. Good times.
