Altitude Network to re-air
'09 Humanitarian Bowl tonight
Altitude Network (Direct TV Channel 681, Dish Network 410) will re-air the 2009 Roady's Humanitarian Bowl featuring Bowling Green vs. Idaho on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. PST.
Pouttu wins second
straight junior golf invite
Kellogg's Kaceelyn Pouttu shot a two-day total of 155 to win her second straight girls 12-14 year-old championship at the Banner Bank Junior Golf Invitational at the Walla Walla Country Club last Saturday.
Brennan Stillinger of Coeur d'Alene finished in a three-way tie for eighth place in the boys 15-17 age group with a 152. Tyler Carlson of Clarkston won the boys title with a 141. Spencer Skipper of Coeur d'Alene shot a 159 and Cooper Simpson of Spirit Lake a 161 for 22nd and 26th place, respectively.
Stephen Roller of Coeur d'Alene shot a 165 to finish tied for sixth in the boys 12-14 group.
Gonzaga players to sign
autographs at Hoopfest
SPOKANE - Seven members of the 2010 Gonzaga men's basketball team will be at the Comcast Battle in Seattle booth in Riverfront Park signing autographs for players and fans as part of Hoopfest weekend.
Players will be available on Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m.; Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.
Six players from the women's basketball team will be available Friday from noon to 2 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 2 p.m.
Signatures are limited to time, but are free to the public.
Players available will be:
Thursday - Mangisto Arop, Sam Dower, David Stockton, 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Friday - Janelle Bekkering, Tatri Lorenzo, noon to 2 p.m.; Demetri Goodson, Kelly Olynyk, 4 to 6 p.m.; Meghan Winters, Carter Schick, 6 to 8 p.m.
Saturday - Steven Gray, Robert Sacre, 10 a.m. to noon; Courtney Vandersloot, Katelan Redmon, noon to 2 p.m.
3-on-3 tournament set for
July 31 in Bonners Ferry
The third annual SWISH 3-on-3 street basketball tournament will be held on Saturday, July 31 and Sunday, Aug. 1 on Main Street in Bonners Ferry.
Anyone interested in registering a team must do so by Monday, July 19.
Registration forms can be printed out by visiting bfswish.com or visiting the SWISH Facebook page.
Organizers are also looking for volunteers to keep score and monitor courts at the tournament.
