View Ironman race on the Web

Sunday's Ford Ironman Coeur d'Alene will be available live at www.ironman.com.

This year CDA IronmanLIVE will be covering the swim by land, air and sea with cameramen in a boat, on the shore and in a helicopter. Greg Welch will broadcast from the finish with co-host Lisa Bentley.

There will be interviews with sponsors and new products starting around 11 a.m. There will also be interviews with the top three male and female pros just after they cross the finish. A live finish line camera will stream until the midnight cut off.

The event will also be broadcast on Universal cable about a month after Sunday's race. It will feature the voice of Phil Liggett and interviews with previous champions and top pro contenders, as well as the Ford Every Day Hero.

Check www.ironman.com for details in the coming weeks.

Library closed for Ironman on Sunday

COEUR d'ALENE - The Coeur d'Alene Public Library will be closed Sunday due to street closures for Ironman. The library will resume normal hours Monday, at 10 a.m.

The event will not affect the schedule of other area libraries. The Hayden Branch Library of the Kootenai-Shoshone Area Libraries, 8385 N. Government Way, will be open noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Coeur d'Alene patrons can also access the library's catalog and databases when the library is closed, but will need to visit the library at 702 E. Front Ave. or call 769-2315 during open hours to obtain usernames and passwords for the databases.
