Kootenai Democratic Club to discuss KTEC levy proposal

The Kootenai Democratic Club will be hosting a presentation Friday about KTEC (Kootenai Technical Educational Campus).

The meeting is open to the public and takes place at noon at the Iron Horse on Sherman Avenue.

The KTEC plans call for a facility that will provide area high school students with access to professional-technical training. Developed through a partnership between the three Kootenai County school districts, business and manufacturing leaders, and North Idaho College, the facility will allow for technical training, dual credit offerings, and industrial certifications.

The three local school districts will run a levy election Aug. 24 to finance construction of the KTEC high school.
