Indians notch first win

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Guillermo Pimentel and Andrew Clark each went 4 for 5 with two RBIs as the Spokane Indians defeated the Vancouver Canadians 8-1 for their first win in Northwest League baseball action on Tuesday night in front of 3,010 at Nat Bailey Stadium.

Pimentel hit a home run leading off the third inning and added an RBI single in the eight inning. Michael Olt added two RBIs for the Indians (1-2), who left 10 runners on base in the game and went 4 for 16 with runners in scoring position.

Spokane reliever Tim Stanford pitched two scoreless innings to get the win.

Anvoris Ramirez allowed two runs in three innings to take the loss for the Canadians (2-3). Christopher Affinito had an RBI single in the seventh for the Canadians.

Ryan Doolittle allowed three runs on four hits in relief for Vancouver.

The teams continue their series tonight at 7:05 p.m.
