Playhouse winners UI golf tourney is planned

The University of Idaho coaching staff, led by head football coach Robb Akey, will highlight the first Coaches Excellence Fund Golf Tournament July 6 at The Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course.

"We're excited about an opportunity to show our support for the excellent job these coaches are doing," said Jerry Jaeger, president and co-owner of Hagadone Hospitality. "The proceeds from this enjoyable event will go into the UI Coaches Excellence Fund to further their work."

The event kicks off with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. and includes a Vandal tailgate barbecue. Tee and auction prizes also will be offered.
