| June 19, 2010 7:21 AM

Betty Jane Khachadoorian, 79, died peacefully at her home in Hayden, Friday, June 11, 2010, after a battle with cancer.

No services are to be held. The family requests that in lieu of a service those donations may be made to the Kootenai County Humane society or Hospice of North Idaho in Hayden in her name.

She called the hospice nurses and volunteers her angels.

Betty was born Betty Jane Golisch March 31, 1931, in Chicago, Ill.

Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Sara Adeta Maria Golisch; father Edward Paul Golisch; her brothers Edward Golisch Jr. and Amos lee Golisch; and sisters Marjorie Henriksen and Dorothy Jean McNealy.

Betty married Richard Khachadoorian on Sept. 4, 1971. Betty and Richard moved to Idaho in 1990 from California. She was an avid gardener and she loved boating and camping. She loved her Dogs and Cats, but most of all she loved her family and her friends.

Betty is survived by her husband, Richard Khachadoorian; daughter Jennifer Ann Butigan; son-in-law George Andrew Butigan and grandchildren Andrew Paul Butigan and Courtney Ann Butigan, and so many friends that will miss her.

Her wit and charm touched everyone who met her. Her honest no nonsense way of looking at things was contagious to those around her. She was one of those people that made you think you have known her all your life an hour after you met her.

Betty has left this world, but not the hearts of everyone who loved her.
