TOBINS: Family lends helping hand

| June 18, 2010 10:00 PM

Another plus for the citizens of Kootenai County. A great big Thank You goes to the entire Tobin family.

During the big rain storm on June 6, while sleeping in the middle of the night, some shingles had blown off and, as a result, the ceiling had become wet and fell in. The bathroom was done in, and many soft wet spots in the rest of that side of the house.

Thank goodness it happened in the middle of the night and no one was hurt. These were my grandchildren and great-grandchildren living there. Consequently they had to remove all their valuables and pack up enough to get along for several weeks while the repairs were being done.

My grandson is disabled and my age andhealth prevent much help from me. The Tobin family took time off from their busy schedule - they have the Tomahawk Beef Jerky business - to come and help the kids get packed and moved while the house was being repaired. I just wanted proper recognition and a thank you to the Tobins all for their good work. Thanks to Jeff, Carol, Jessica, Thomas, Emily, Shelby, Sara, Jacob, Austin, Brooklyn, Madison and soon to be new son Danny Goad. Again, all their kiness is greatly appreciated.
