PAVING: Lack of eviction stinks

| June 16, 2010 10:00 PM

Regarding Coeur d’Alene Paving’s permit for the asphalt cooker: Bunk!

They were told no in the beginning and then went ahead and put the mobile unit in anyway and then the county said, “Oh well, it’s there so we’ll give them a temporary permit to use it for only one year.’”

Well, guess what? There she sits and continues to put out that awful smell day in and day out.

I don’t care what the EPA or anybody else says, it stinks and ou have only to live nearby to get that, but of course none of the people involved in the ownership of the business do that. Well, come live here for awhile and see what you think.

Oh dear, that won’t work, because you see, this is technically still farm country and they might take offense to that smell.

Come on, county commissioners. Shut it down. They should never have been given the permit in the first place. They are telling you it’s a done deal and you can’t do a thing about it. Show them who the people put in office to decide that, not a business who blatantly ignored all of our wishes, including yours.
