Loyalton to host free wellness clinic

Loyalton of Coeur d'Alene is hosting a free wellness clinic every third Thursday of the month, from 10 a.m. to noon, no appointment necessary.

During that time, seniors can drop in and visit different stations inside the facility located at 205 E. Anton in Coeur d'Alene for:

• A blood pressure check.

• Balance testing.

• Diabetic foot/shoe assessment.

• Help with assistive and adaptive equipment.

• Advance directives.

• A mental wellness check.

• A brain health check.

• And durable medical equipment safety checks.

Participating companies include Ivy Court Nursing and Rehab, Crest Home Health, Home Helpers/Priority Footwear, Auburn Crest Hospice, Lacrosse Health and Rehab, American Mobility and the Loyalton of Coeur d'Alene.

"We really want to focus on wellness and keeping our seniors as independent for as long as possible safely," said Loyalton Coeur d'Alene Community Relations Director Joy Witter.
