Joan B. Heagney, 74

Joan B. Heagney, 74, of Post Falls, passed away June 14, 2010, at home. She was born July 18, 1935, in Doylestown, Pa., to Edmund U. and Katherine (McLaughlin) Krier.

She married James G. Heagney on April 15, 1984, in Victorville, Calif. Joan moved to North Idaho from Victorville in August 2001. She worked as an executive secretary.

Joan was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Alcoholics Anonymous and the Marine Corps League Auxiliary. She enjoyed counted cross stitch and knitting. She also had a love of music, flowers, making friends and her home.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Heagney at home; son Kenneth Robert Pickering of Henderson, Nev.; and daughter Karen Suzanne Pickering Shatka of Fresno, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son Brian John Pickering.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1700 Pennsylvania Ave., Coeur d’Alene.
