Ride the Wall on Monday

EVAVILLE - The 13th annual Ride the Wall bike event is coming up Monday at the Snake Pit.

The 13-mile trek will take riders on five miles of the paved Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes to Cataldo, then eight miles on a one-lane, gravel, dirt road known as "The Wall" that winds along and above the Coeur d'Alene River and ends at Enaville on the North Fork of the river.

Mountain bikes are recommended and helmets are mandatory.

Cost is $30, with proceeds to the Silver Valley Fuller Center for Housing and Rose Lake Quick Response Unit.

Check in is 4-6 p.m. Monday, with the race at 6, followed by a barbecue at the Snake Pit.
