Michael S. Jacklin, 60

Michael S. Jacklin, 60, resident of Coeur d’Alene, died Nov. 30, 2009, at Rose Terrace Cottages in Coeur d’Alene. Michael was born June 1, 1949, in Redding, Calif., to Stanley M. and Estella M. (Goulet) Jacklin.

He and his family moved to Hauser Lake during his early years. He graduated from Post Falls High School in 1967. Michael served in the U.S. Army Reserves for several years. He worked for Boise Cascade at their Home Building plant and later at the Potlatch Particle Board Plant both in Post Falls. Michael enjoyed photography, NASCAR races, fishing, hunting, cooking and unlimited hydroplane races.

Michael is survived by brothers and sisters-in-laws, Paul and Virginia Jacklin, and Butch and Judy Jacklin, all of California, and Dennis Williams of Coeur d’Alene; sisters and brother-in-law, Karen Jacklin of Post Falls, Judy and Frank Kerns of Sandpoint and Mary Lou Wood of Coeur d’Alene; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Candace Kerns.

His family would like to express their thanks and gratitude for the care Michael received at Legends Park Assisted Living and Rose Terrace Cottages.

Family suggests memorials be made to the Kootenai Humane Society, P.O. Box 1005, Hayden, ID 83835 in his behalf.

Graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls.
