Spokane women's soccer team trips Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. - Stacy Hamer scored the game's only goal, on an assist from Tiara Pittman, as the Spokane Black Widows beat the Portland Rain 1-0 in Women's Professional Soccer League play on Sunday.

The win avenged a 2-1 loss to Portland on Saturday at Joe Albi Stadium in Spokane.

Natalie Budge scored the eventual game-winner in the 77th minute for the Rain. Nicole Wilcox scored in the 18th minute for Portland.

Kara Tishammer scored the tying goal for Spokane in the 42nd minute, assisted by Morgan Manchester.

Spokane plays host to the North Bay FC Wave on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Albi Stadium.
