Wells Fargo hires Bickel as business banking specialist
Wells Fargo announced Lisa Bickel as the newest member of its Business Banking team in Coeur d'Alene. Bickel, a business banking specialist for the three Coeur d'Alene stores, will focus on helping small businesses succeed financially by recommending services including checking and savings account packages, credit and loan products, online services and merchant card processing services.
A graduate of the University of California, Irvine, Bickel comes to Wells Fargo with more than 20 years of business to business sales experience.
She most recently worked as a consultant for BiomedGPS, LLC out of Irvine, Calif., and before that as an account manager with a title and escrow company in Coeur d'Alene.
BBB's Quintrall to speak at Upbeat Breakfast
The Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce's Upbeat Breakfast on July 13 will feature guest speaker Jan Quintrall, President/CEO of the Better Business Bureau serving Eastern Washington, North Idaho and Montana.
Her topic will be "Trust and the Customer-Everything Changed!" She will be discussing how social networking, the Internet and the erosion of trust in the marketplace has changed the landscape and what business leaders can do to position themselves to reach the suspicious customer in this new economy.
The event is at The Coeur d'Alene Resort and starts at 7:30 a.m.
Schweitzer Resort's Summer Celebration set for June 26
Schweitzer Mountain Resort will hold its annual Summer Celebration from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 26, featuring live music by David Boone and The Rub.
Scenic chairlift rides will be free of charge for all ages. The lift ascends 1,700 vertical feet where you can make the choice to hike, bike or ride the lift back down.
"This is the best way to experience what summer is all about at Schweitzer." said event manager Brandon Peterson. "You can ride the lift, hike, bike and listen to great music - all for free."
Schweitzer is bringing back the Power Tower climbing wall and bungee trampoline. It is located outside the Source, where guests can visit the Activity Center and rent mountain bikes. The celebration will also feature a variety of arts and crafts booths, barbecue and children's games.
