Yankees 4, Orioles 2: CC Sabathia pitched seven solid innings, leading New York at Baltimore.

Twins 6, Royals 2: At Minneapolis, Delmon Young homered and Minnesota beat Kansas City.

White Sox 15, Tigers 3: Ramon Castro and Brent Lillibridge hit three-run homers and Chicago routed visiting Detroit.

Angels 7, Athletics 1: Joe Saunders threw a complete game, leading Los Angeles at Oakland.

Indians 11, Red Sox 0: Travis Hafner hit a grand slam and Cleveland routed visiting Boston.

NATIONAL LEAGUE

Nationals 7, Pirates 5: Ryan Zimmerman's go-ahead single in the seventh lifted Washington past visiting Pittsburgh.

Dodgers 4, Cardinals 3: Manny Ramirez hit a two-run homer and host Los Angeles beat St. Louis.

Diamondbacks 2, Braves 1: At Phoenix, Gerardo Parra hit an inside-the-park home run in the eighth and Arizona beat Atlanta.

Reds 6, Giants 3: Orlando Cabrera scored three runs, leading host Cincinnati past San Francisco.

Cubs 9, Brewers 4: Marlon Byrd and Geovany Soto each homered twice and Chicago won at Milwaukee.

Astros 6, Rockies 2, 10 inn.: At Denver, Carlos Lee hit a grand slam in the 10th and Houston beat Colorado.

Florida at Philadelphia, ppd., rain: Rain forced postponement of the Marlins-Phillies game and no makeup date was announced.

San Diego at New York, ppd., rain: The Padres-Mets game was postponed by rain, and the teams will play a day-night doubleheader today.
