Asphalt plant hearing tonight

The Kootenai County commissioners will hold a public hearing tonight to reconsider the timeframe that the asphalt batch plant on Highway 53 can operate at that location.

A district judge remanded the commissioners' decision from last April to award a temporary permit for the plant for one year, with the possibility of a one-year extension.

The hearing will be at 6 p.m. in room 1 of the Kootenai County Administration Building.
