Council seeks new members

The Idaho Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing has four positions that are up for appointment in July.

The Council consists of nine members appointed by the governor who serve a three-year term.

The terms are staggered so each year there are three members whose terms expire.

The four positions that are up for appointment include a parent of a deaf child; a parent of a hard of hearing child; a person who is deaf, and a physician.

Council meetings are held about 4 times a year on a week day. Anyone interested in being appointed by the governor must complete an application found at http://www.gov.idaho.gov/boards/boards.cfm
