Allegra to give free print services to nonprofits

| June 9, 2010 9:00 PM

COEUR d'ALENE - The Allegra Print & Imaging FootPRINT Fund will help Coeur d'Alene area nonprofit organizations "leave a footprint" in the community by awarding free print services for promotional and informational materials.

The Allegra Print & Imaging FootPRINT Fund will award $20,000 annually to nonprofit organizations and associations seeking financial assistance for graphic design and printing of brochures, newsletters, forms, invitations, posters and other print communications. Applicants that qualify are eligible to receive up to $1,000 each.

"Providing community support is an important goal at Allegra Print & Imaging in Coeur d'Alene," said owner Becky Ellefloot, along with her husband, Bill. "The FootPRINT Fund was created to provide a means of helping local organizations receive assistance in an area that may not be addressed by other funding sources."

The FootPRINT Fund was developed to help unite and strengthen our local community by assisting eligible nonprofit organizations and associations in building their awareness and increasing local support.

To be considered for a FootPRINT Fund award, nonprofit groups, associations and charitable organizations with a main office or branch in Kootenai County must submit a completed application by July 1. Application forms are available at 3917 N. Schreiber Way in Coeur d'Alene.

Award recipients are selected by a review panel based on how the print services will be used to further organization goals including service expansion, program enhancement and maximization of existing resources, as well as the organization's innovation and resourcefulness. All applicants will be notified in writing of their award by Aug. 1, 2010.

"This program is a way for us to make a difference in our community, one step at a time," Ellefloot said. "Here at Allegra Print & Imaging, we feel that it is extremely important to reach out to those in need and help our local organizations and associations leave their 'footprints' in the community. It is a way for us to thank the community for its ongoing business and support."
