Charles Roger Walker, 58, died Wednesday, June 2, 2010, in Coeur d’Alene, at Kootenai Medical Center.

He was born April 15, 1952, in Glasgow, Mont., to Willard and Florence (Bretzker) Walker. He attended St. Raphael School and graduated from Glasgow High School. He then went on to work at North Idaho College in the maintenance department, leaving there on a medical retirement.

Charlie loved the great outdoors: hunting, fishing and berry-picking. He also had his dad’s love of gardening. He dearly loved his wife, Judy of 13 years, and his family. He truly enjoyed visits to Glasgow. He was a very generous and caring husband, brother and friend. He especially enjoyed time with his hunting buddy, Jim Howerton.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Judy of Athol; his brother, Willard S. Walker of Glasgow; his sisters, Patricia J. (Larry) Foote of Twinsburg, Ohio, Pamela J. Pisarick and Mary A. (Bill) Sugg of Glasgow; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010, at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, 412 Third Ave. N., Glasgow, with a reception to follow at the Parish Center. A memorial service will held in Athol. Date and time will be announced. English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d’Alene, is in charge of the arrangements.
