TAXES: Increases aren't justified

In the past week three articles in The Press really caught my attention. The first was that our out-of-money city hired architects to redo McEuen park and I wondered why, and how will the city pay for something like this? I figured that it must be critical to the lives, livelihood and safety of the citizens of Coeur d'Alene for the city to spend the money at a time when no one has extra money. Well on Friday I got my answer: The city is raising TAXES of course! Just out of curiosity how much of the new taxes goes to that band of unelected tax bandits, the LCDC?

It's not bad enough that the city is digging for reasons to collect and spend our money. The county wants to jump on the tax bandwagon and waste our money too. The county commissioners want to hire a lobbyist to represent us in Boise, and all this time I thought that was what we elect and pay politicians to do. Oh how stupid of me of course we need a lobbyist to bribe our elected officials including the board of commissioners into doing their jobs. Well done boys and girls.

When I was 14 I was given too much change after a purchase and kept it. Does that qualify me to go into politics?
