TRIBE: Donations aren't the issue
This letter is in response to the letter from Tony Stewart and the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations Executive Committee in regard to the recent decision by the county commissioners concerning “trust lands” on the Coeur d’Alene Indian Reservation.
I’m not sure about Mr. Stewart; but I personally do not want my lawmakers making decisions based on how much money a person, company, Tribe, or anyone gives to the community or charities. Any and all decisions should be made solely on the law and situation at hand. And to be quite honest; I do not know all of the parameters of this situation.
I would like to know if the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations is one in the same as the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Rights? You know that little Po-Dunk organization that believes that we have more rights than that were laid out in The Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution.
The rights we have were given to us and endowed by our creator; rights that cannot be given or taken away by “any” government!
To those people that use terms such as African Americans and Native Americans etc.; I have news for you. We are all Americans! You people are so politically correct that I know you think that you can pick up a turd by the clean end.
From a Native (please look up the word) American of English, German and Irish decent.
