PARKING: Letter misses the mark

In response to Marilyn Hunt’s letter on handicap parking, Marilyn, you were doing OK until the last paragraph. Your suggestion to folks allowed to use handicap parking spaces was to “do so!” Otherwise they “will use up a regular space that’s meant for those of us who cannot park there.”
My mother had a handicap parking permit. There were times when all the handicap spaces were occupied. What would you have us do, drive around until one was available, lest we park in a “regular space meant for those who can’t use a handicap parking space? And where did you get the idea that the rest of the parking area is meant for those not handicapped? Or as you refer to it, as “Our space.”
Get real, Marilyn.
