Meme Maria Louise White Davis
Born July 25,1968. Our beloved Meme died suddenly on June 23, 2010.
She was a loving mother, wife, daughter and sister. Meme grew up in
Post Falls and graduated from Post Falls High School in 1984 and from
ITT in 1994 with an associate’s degree in technical engineering. She
and her family have lived in the Seattle area for a number of years.
Meme loved to camp and fish and clean her own catch. She loved the
water whether it be ocean, lake or stream. Every spring family and
friends camped in the Tucannon area where the fishing was grand. This
was one of Meme’s favorite times. She loved big family gatherings and
her pumpkin cheesecakes were always a specialty. Every fall she spent
canning — much of which she gave away, especially at Christmastime,
when she made large baskets filled with her homemade baked goodies,
candy and her canned items for everyone.
Meme was a very caring, giving person and just liked people. She loved
lavendar and the color orange and was always ready to give a relieving
massage with her lavendar oil. Several years ago she started regularly
attending church and prayer group preparing for her walk with God. She
became close friends with a wonderful group of Christian women who she
loved dearly. Meme was a wonderful mother to her son Connor. She did
herself proud with her boy. She so loved him.
She is survived by her son Connor and husband Rick Davis of Kirkland,
Wash.; parents Jim and Corky White of Post Falls; stepson Patrick
Davis and wife Christin of Denver, Colo.; sister Jenny Vinyard and
husband Chad; niece Hannah and nephew Jordan of Post Falls; brother
Larry White and wife Melanie and nephew Elijah and wife Bridgette;
nieces Lucy and Matilda of Seattle, Wash.; brother Matt and wife Terri
and niece Katie and nephew Kenny of Post Falls, along with numerous
aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
