IDAHO: Values make it great
In response to “Idaho: Keep your state great,” I want to thank Mr. Lowery for his words of encouragement. As I have done since moving here, I plan to continue volunteering, teaching, helping others, being a good custodian of the land, and being politically involved, in keeping with strong, American values that Mr. Lowery would, no doubt, endorse.
The only problem is — I’m a Liberal, from Scotland originally (a liberal place with health-care for all) via California. So. Should I go back from where I came?
In the Coeur d’Alene area, I have met many folks who are kind, generous and yes, even tolerant, from every walk of life and of every shade of red and blue from the fiercely political to the “don’t care-don’t vote.”
In my opinion, this is a good place with good people and it will stay that way if the community is steady in its desire to be the Human Rights State and project the values of that title to residents, including newcomers, and those visiting the area.
Perhaps Mr. Lowery should move to Arizona?
