Pinnacle Physical Therapy begins aquatic therapy program

| July 14, 2010 9:00 PM

Pinnacle Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine is excited to announce the opening of an Aquatic Therapy Program on July 12.

"Our focus has always been on providing exceptional physical therapy care to help as many people in our community as possible," says Mark Bengtson, Owner and Physical Therapist at Pinnacle Physical Therapy. "It is a need in our community. By offering an Aquatic Therapy program, we will be able to help people who may otherwise be unable to take part in traditional, land-based therapies."

Aquatic Therapy offers an alternative form of rehabilitation and can be used in conjunction with other traditional therapies. The pool is an environment uniquely suited to facilitate the healing of many orthopedic, neurologic, and chronic conditions including: Arthritis, joint pain, back and neck pain, Fibromyalgia, bariatric care, prenatal joint pain, and pre and post operation rehabilitation. By conducting treatments in a warm, therapeutic, variable depth pool, patients can comfortably improve their flexibility, balance, strength, and cardiovascular function.

"We are very excited for the opportunity to help our community get out of pain with our Aquatic Therapy Program," Bengtson concludes.

Appointments will be available beginning Monday, July 12. Each patient will be evaluated in one of Pinnacle's two clinic locations in Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene prior to beginning their Aquatic Therapy treatments.
