COLUMNIST: Glass always half empty

| July 11, 2010 10:00 PM

Is there any reason why this paper continues to run articles by Tim Dahlberg in the Sports section?

I’ve yet to read a single one where his glass-half-empty negativity didn’t completely overshadow any insightful or entertaining content that might have accidentally found its way into print.

I get that he doesn’t like Kobe, or Tiger, or Favre, or the sport of soccer...which is fine. Why not write about something he does like?

Has no one ever pointed out the “Thumper Rule” to this toad? (If you can’t say somethin’ nice, don’t say nothin’ at all.)

I’m sure there are plenty of other columnists out there writing for the AP, who have something constructive and entertaining to contribute. Do you think the Press could find one?
