Women's networking group starts
The new Post Falls Women in Networking group will hold its first meeting at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Garden Plaza, 545 N. Garden Plaza, next to Walmart in Post Falls.
Post Falls Mayor Clay Larkin will speak on the local business economic climate.
"We are inviting all professional women who are representatives of their companies or business owners to attend the luncheon," said Pam Campbell, publicity chair of the group.
The lunch buffet is $10, but purchasing lunch is optional. To RSVP, e-mail Jody Barrett at [email protected].
The group meets the second Wednesday of each month at Garden Plaza.
It was formed to support and enhance its members' ability to grow their businesses, provide relationship opportunities and become known in the community as women of character, integrity and goodwill.
The RSVP deadline for all meetings is the Monday before the meeting. Meetings are always the second Wednesday of the month at Garden Plaza in Post Falls, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The group formed in order to meet a need for a community minded networking group in this area which was affordable, offered a choice of three or more advertising mediums with pricing packages exclusive to the group and to provide a group where the members help each other grow their businesses and provide support and encouragement to the community.
The focus will be to help members grow their businesses and be successful through education, mastermind groups and community workshops.
In addition to regular meetings, their plan is to provide quarterly outreaches to the community and to fellow business leaders, beginning with a "healing day," to give the community an opportunity to come and get massages, stress relieving counseling and different kinds of therapies and services aimed at destressing their lives, all for free. This day will be scheduled later in the year.
The other sessions that will be offered include marketing workshops, financial well being sessions and a fundraiser for OASIS at year's end.
The group is open to anyone who wants to join, whether they are in Post Falls, North Idaho or Spokane Valley.
