BALLET: Important teacher left out

A very interesting article regarding Kelsey Piva and her recent invitation to train with the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow Russia. After digesting the article I was somewhat disturbed to find that her teacher Mrs. Ceci Klein was not mentioned at all. Considering that Ceci taught Ms. Piva everything she knows about ballet from the age of 7 to the present I couldn’t help but wonder why Mrs. Klein was not mentioned.

For those who don’t know, Ceci Klein single handedly brought ballet to our wonderful community almost 20 years ago. Speaking for myself I will be most interested in how Ms. Piva competes in New York and Moscow. Many of us will be watching. Ceci has developed several young women who have gone onto bigger and better things in the field of ballet.

In my view Ceci Klein was not mentioned in the article because of three words STAGE MOTHER & CINDERELLA. I am quite sure that there are several parents out there who would agree. In conclusion I fully realize that I will catch heck from Ceci but I will have to live with that.
