Richard 'Rick' E. Ropp, 50

Rick passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010.

He was born June 9, 1959, in Opportunity, Wash., to Raymond E. and Elena M. Ropp.

Rick moved to St. Maries, Idaho, with his family and attended school there until the age of 12, at that time he moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and completed his education.

Rick joined the U.S. Navy after leaving school and served four years. Upon being discharged from the Navy, Rick returned to Coeur d’Alene where he has resided since.

Rick loved the outdoors and spent all his free time hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed outings with his dad huckleberry picking and four-wheeling.

Rick was preceded in death by his brother, Rodney Ropp; his mother, Lena Ropp and his father, Ray Ropp.

He is survived by his grandmother, Inga Hammeren; his stepdaughters, Danielle, Stephanie and Crystal Cloutier; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.

At Rick’s direction, there will be no service.
