NIC softball win streak stopped at 13

TWIN FALLS - North Idaho College had its 13-game win streak snapped Friday, falling 2-1 and 7-3 to Southern Idaho in a Scenic West Athletic Conference softball doubleheader at Golden Eagle Field.

NIC's Jessica Ross hit a solo home run in the first game for the Cardinals' (16-10, 13-5 SWAC) lone run in the first game.

Amanda Krier had two hits and Briggett Plenger drove in two runs on an RBI single in the first inning of the second game for the Cardinals.

NIC and CSI (19-9, 10-4) play two more today.
