Sun Devils keep pace in Pac-10 race

Eric Boateng scored a career-high 24 points and Derek Glasser had 20, lifting Arizona State to a 68-60 victory over Stanford (13-5, 7-9) on Thursday night at Stanford, Calif.

The Sun Devils (20-8, 10-5) remained alone in second place in the Pac-10, one-half game behind first-place California, which defeated Arizona 95-71 on Thursday night. The Sun Devils and Bears play Saturday at Berkeley, Calif.

Oregon 54, USC 44: At Los Angeles, Tajuan Porter scored 16 points to lead Oregon (13-14, 5-10 Pac-10) past the Trojans (16-11, 8-7).

UCLA 65, Oregon State 56: At Los Angeles, Tyler Honeycutt had 18 points and 10 rebounds, leading UCLA (13-14, 8-7 Pac-10) past the Beavers (12-15, 6-9).

Cal 95, Arizona 71: At Berkeley, Calif., Jerome Randle scored 24 points to help California (19-9, 11-5 Pac-10) beat Arizona (13-4, 7-8).

No. 2 Kentucky 82, South Carolina 61: At Lexington, Ky., Patrick Patterson had 23 points and Kentucky (27-1, 12-1) beat South Carolina (14-13, 5-8 Southeastern Conference).

Nevada 83, San Jose State 79: At San Jose, Calif., Brandon Fields scored 23 points as Nevada (17-10, 9-4 WCC) defeated San Jose State (13-14, 5-8).

Portland 70, San Francisco 59: At Portland, Ore., Jared Stohl scored 22 points on six 3-pointers to lead the Pilots (18-9, 9-4 WCC) past the Dons (12-16, 7-6).
