Syracuse rallies past Providence

Rick Jackson scored a career-high 28 points, 17 in the second half, and No. 4 Syracuse (26-2, 13-2 Big East) recovered from an eight-point deficit to beat Providence (12-15, 4-11) 99-85 on Tuesday night in Providence, R.I.

No. 6 Kansas St. 83, Texas Tech 64: At Lubbock, Texas, Jacob Pullen scored 21 of his 28 points in the first half to lead No. 5 Kansas State (23-4, 10-3 Big 12) over Texas Tech (16-11, 4-9), the Wildcats' sixth straight win.

No. 10 New Mexico 72, Colorado St. 66: At Fort Collins, Colo., Dairese Gary scored 23 points, Roman Martinez had 17 and No. 10 New Mexico held on to beat Colorado State for its 12th consecutive victory.

No. 11 Georgetown 70, Louisville 60: Austin Freeman scored 24 of his 29 points in the second half and Georgetown (19-7, 9-6 Big East) bounced back from consecutive losses to win at Louisville (18-10, 9-6).

Florida 75, No. 19 Tennessee 62: At Gainesville, Fla., Chandler Parsons scored 19 points, Erving Walker broke out of a shooting slump and Florida (20-8, 9-4 Southeastern Conference) beat No. 19 Tennessee (20-7, 8-5).

Evansville 55, No. 25 Northern Iowa 54: At Evansville, Ind., James Haarsma had 12 points and eight rebounds to help Evansville (8-20, 2-15 Missouri Valley) stun No. 25 Northern Iowa. Evansville had lost 17 of 18 before pulling off one of the biggest upsets of the college basketball season.

Jake Koch scored 22 points and Adam Koch added 14 for Northern Iowa (24-4, 14-3), which had already clinched the conference title outright and was merely trying to avoid a slip-up.
