Dorothy Mae Putnam, 86

Dorothy Mae Putnam, 86, died Feb. 18, 2010, in Pahrump, Nev. She was born Aug. 27, 1923, in Ennis, Mont. Previously from Pinehurst, Idaho, she lived in Pahrump for seven years.

Dorothy loved to read, crochet, cook and travel. Her passion was watching Dodger baseball and attended many games at Dodger Stadium as well as several baseball stadiums across the country.

Dorothy lived in Kellogg, Idaho, for most of her life graduating from Kellogg High School. She worked for the city of Kellogg and retired as City Clerk in 1982.

Survivors are Paula J. Hansen, daughter, of Pahrump; Gary Putnam, son, of Chewelah, Wash.; Pat Putnam, son, of Dallas, Texas; Bus Shewmaker, brother, of Reno, Nev., and numerous nieces and nephews.

She had five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, Francis (Kayo) Putnam; father and mother, Merritt Shewmaker and Dora Shewmaker; and brother Lawrence Shewmaker.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens, 7315 N. Government Way.
