'Heroes' actor Pasdar charged

LOS ANGELES - Court records show actor Adrian Pasdar has been charged with drunken driving, and his arraignment is scheduled for later this week.

The 44-year-old actor was arrested Jan. 27 after authorities say they spotted him speeding and veering over two lanes of traffic on a Los Angeles freeway.

He was charged with one count of driving under the influence on Friday. City attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan says Pasdar's arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday.

The actor's manager, Will Flaherty, declined comment.

Pasdar plays Nathan Petrelli on NBC's "Heroes." He's married to Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines.

Wrestler Flair's wife charged

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -

Police say the wife of pro wrestler Ric Flair has been charged with assaulting him in their North Carolina home.

In a statement, Flair called the incident an unfortunate disagreement and said he did nothing wrong.

Authorities say officers were called to Flair's home in south Charlotte on Sunday night. Flair said his wife attacked him after they went out for dinner. He had minor injuries, but refused treatment from paramedics.

Police charged 41-year-old Jacqueline Beems with simple assault. She was released from jail a few hours after her arrest.

The 60-year-old platinum blond grappler nicknamed "The Nature Boy" is currently wrestling for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling after a long career with World Wrestling Entertainment.

'Captain EO' returns to Disney

ANAHEIM, Calif. -

"Captain EO" and Michael Jackson are returning to Disneyland.

The park says it will show the 1986 Jackson musical film beginning Tuesday and running indefinitely.

On the Disney Parks blog, Disney executive Heather Hust Rivera says the park will show a 70mm print of the 17-minute movie in the Tomorrowland theater, with enhanced sound.

However, Rivera says the showing won't feature some special effects from the original presentation. She would not elaborate.

The original presentation included lasers and smoke.

Jackson, who died last year, plays the role of a spaceship captain who uses love and music to fight a wicked witch queen played by Anjelica Huston.

The original ran at Disneyland from 1986-1997. The new showing replaces the 3-D show "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience."

Connick performs at White House

WASHINGTON - Harry Connick Jr. told students Sunday that music can get people through the darkest times - even a disaster like Hurricane Katrina, which devastated his hometown, New Orleans, in 2005.

The Grammy-winning composer and singer was welcomed to the White House by first lady Michelle Obama, who invited him to perform for members of a Washington elementary school glee club.

Connick invited one of the children to join him and his band onstage and help sing "When the Saints Go Marching In."

Mrs. Obama told the children that just as singing in their club makes them happy, music can help lift the spirits of a city like New Orleans.

"These guys aren't just playing music and earning money and performing, but they're also community leaders, too," Mrs. Obama said. "Even if you can sing and dance, the question is: What do you give back?"

Connick co-founded the Musicians' Village in New Orleans, which helped provide housing for displaced musicians after Katrina. Some of the musicians who performed with Connick on Sunday live in the village.

Connick performed later Sunday night as part of the National Governors Association's Governor's Ball.
