Pardon our Mess

| February 18, 2010 5:04 AM

The online newspaper you're looking at right now is a project under construction.

And not all of it is pretty yet.

"It's been a major goal of the Coeur d'Alene Press to be more than a print newspaper - we pride ourselves in being by far the number one deliverer of news and information in our community," said Press Online Manager Mike Alexander.

Alexander said that over the past eight years, cdapress.com has moved from a newsletter-style site to one with robust story commenting, in-depth news archiving and searchable directory information.

"Upgrading the site has presented some real challenges," Alexander said. "However, we're making progress in providing a site with an even better commenting section, news stories that link to one another with multiple photos, and more rich multi-media. We appreciate your comments and suggestions, and we sincerely apologize for disrupting your service."

Complaints and suggestions should be sent to Alexander at malexander@cdapress.com, or to editor Mike Patrick, mpatrick@cdapress.com.
