POST FALLS - Mullan Trail Elementary received a $1,250 grant from the Idaho Community Foundation to buy video equipment.

Flip cams have been purchased for children to use in producing movies for the student body to watch that demonstrate proper behavior throughout the school.Once videos are taken, students will use movie-making software to create short movies, inserting graphics and music.

The movies are then turned into DVDs and shared with students in their classrooms or to new students upon enrollment at Mullan Trail.Students have identified areas of the school where common rules should be established. Bus behavior, playground games, lunchroom expectations and problem-solving skills are areas they'd like to address with the movies.

"The grant will make it possible for us to get students involved in addressing common schoolwide behaviors and communicating expectations to all of our students, staff and families," said Principal Katrina Kelly.
