Permit requirements workshop set

| February 12, 2010 11:00 PM

It's time for a rundown on regulations.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold a free workshop this month on the ins and outs of permitting requirements, from processing time frames to new application formats.

It's something every design professional should know, said Beth Reinhart, regulatory project manager for the USACE.

"To save everyone time and money it's important to know what information is required for us agencies to process requests for a permit," she said. "When we are able to give people some help out with new information, we get a better product we're able to process quicker."

The event is intended for professionals, Reinhart said, like consultants, engineers, highway districts and utility contractors.

The workshop is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 22, at the U.S. Forest Service Supervisor's Office, 3815 N. Schreiber Way in Coeur d'Alene.
