Annual lutefisk dinner scheduled for Feb. 19

POST FALLS - The Sons of Norway will have its annual lutefisk dinner from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 19 at the IOOF Hall, 200 E. Railroad Ave., Post Falls.

The Coeur d'Alene Sons of Norway Lodge, which recently celebrated its Centennial, prepares the preserved cod along with meatballs and lefse.

The menu will also include potatoes and gravy, melted butter, white sauce, fresh chance carrots and pickled beets, all topped off by coffee and Norwegian cookies, including rosettes, sandbakkels and krumkake.

"Served family style, this meal offers a taste of authentic Norwegian food with to also buy lefse for home consumption," according to a press release.

Tickets are $15.

The documentary, "Finding Thea," will be shown before and after dinner.
