Heritage Place hosts Hot dogs for Haiti
COEUR d'ALENE - The residents of Heritage Place will hold a hot dog fundraiser on Super Bowl Sunday beginning at 2 p.m., with proceeds going to Haiti relief efforts.
Residents, friends and families are invited to feast upon hot dogs, chili, nachos and other goodies while enjoying the big game.
"Why not combine a great cause with an event that brings our senior community together," said Mike Grabenstein, executive director. "I'm donating my famous caramel corn and other staff members have contributed some fantastic baked goods. We're hoping for a good turnout."
Heritage Place independent senior living, 702 W. Walnut Ave., offers HUD-subsidized apartments for persons 62 years and older. Rent is based upon income levels that are no more than $30,850.
