Highway closures reported online

Winter weather conditions that included drifting and blowing snow prompted the closure of sections of eight Idaho highways on Wednesday.

U.S. 20, Idaho 3, Idaho 21, Idaho 32, Idaho 46, Idaho 47, Idaho 75 and U.S. 95 all had sections of them closed because of hazardous driving conditions.

There is no estimate for when the sections of highways will re-open.

The Idaho Transportation Department advises motorists who need to travel during winter conditions to plan before leaving for their destination. Drivers are advised to check the 511 Traveler Services website at 511.idaho.gov or dial 511.
