Elsie (Emhoff) Wilson, 91, passed away Dec. 17, 2010, at The Bridge Assisted Living of Post Falls.

Elsie was born Sept. 6, 1919, in Wilsall, Mont. She spent most of her growing up years in the Yakima area (Gleed, Wash.) graduating from Lower Naches High School. She married her childhood sweetheart on Aug. 5, 1938, in Edmonds, Wash., and was his co-pilot and navigator for 72 years. Elsie was a member of the Wenatchee Chapter of Eastern Star. She was also an excellent seamstress/tailor, and retired from Washington state service where she worked as a seamstress and supervisor at Rainier School in Buckley, Wash.

Elsie is survived by her husband, "Jim" of 72 years; one brother (Cecil); a daughter (Lynn) and her family; a son (Ken) and his family; nieces/nephews; grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters (Florence and Ellen) and two brothers (John and Bill).

Those who knew Elsie describe her as a quiet person, enjoyable to be around, always with a ready smile and a twinkle in her eye. She was very affectionate and loving - especially to her family. Her family always came first. To her children she gave the gift of unconditional love, always letting them know they were loved and cherished. As a "Mom" she was always there. Sweetheart/Mom/Granna: YOU are our Sunshine - our only Sunshine. YOU will always and forever have a special place in our hearts.

The family would like to send a very special thanks to the many Angels at Hospice of North Idaho, The Bridge Assisted Living and Life Care Center of Post Falls for your love, compassion and care during the past several months.

At her request no services will be held.
