Vandals falls short in WAC opener

MOSCOW (AP) - Troy Gillenwater scored 22 points Wednesday night and New Mexico State (7-8) held off Idaho 74-69 in the Western Athletic Conference opener for both teams.

Idaho was led by Kyle Barone with 22 points and Luiz Toledo with 14. Both had nine rebounds for the Vandals (6-6).
