Timberlake to host holiday tournament

SPIRIT LAKE - Timberlake High School will host the Miller's Harvest Foods basketball tournament starting today at 11 a.m.

Participating schools include East Valley, Clark Fork, Bonners Ferry in both boys and girls and Orofino in boys only in predetermined games.

Varsity games will be played at the high school, with JV games at the middle school.

Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for students and is good at either location.

Tuesday, Dec. 28 - East Valley vs. Timberlake, 11 a.m.; Clark Fork vs. Bonners Ferry, 1 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 29 - Bonners Ferry vs. East Valley, 3 p.m.; Timberlake vs. Clark Fork, 5.

Tuesday, Dec. 28 - Timberlake vs. East Valley, 3 p.m.; Orofino vs. Bonners Ferry, 5.

Wednesday, Dec. 29 - East Valley vs. Bonners Ferry, 11 a.m.; Timberlake vs. Orofino, 1 p.m.

Cd'A Charter to travel to Kellogg tournament

KELLOGG - Coeur d'Alene Charter will travel to Kellogg for the Kellogg Christmas tournament starting today at Andrews Gymnasium.

Participating teams include Kellogg, Wallace and the Kellogg JV boys and Kamiah girls in a true tournament format.

Tuesday, Dec. 28

Game 1 - Kellogg JV vs. Wallace, 2:30 p.m. (boys)

Game 2 - Coeur d'Alene Charter vs. Wallace, 4 (girls)

Game 3 - Kellogg vs. Coeur d'Alene Charter, 5:30 (boys)

Game 4 - Kellogg vs. Kamiah, 7 (girls)

Wednesday, Dec. 29

Game 5 - Loser Game 2 vs. Loser Game 4, 2:30 p.m. (girls consolation)

Game 6 - Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 3, 4 (boys consolation)

Game 7 - Winner Game 2 vs. Winner Game 4, 5:30 (girls championship)

Game 8 - Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 3, 7 (boys championship)

North Idaho Christian hoops tourney starts today

North Idaho Christian will host a 6-team girls basketball tournament today and Wednesday at The Hub at 19619 E. Cataldo Avenue in Liberty Lake.

Round-robin games are slated for today at 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. Wednesday games start at 9 a.m., with the championship round games beginning at 1 p.m.

Christian Center School, Pullman Christian, Helena Christian School, Kootenai Community Church Home School and Flathead Valley Christian are scheduled to participate.
