Joan Olson, 70

Joan Marie Olson, 70, of Rathdrum, passed away suddenly on Dec. 22, 2010. She was born Oct. 14, 1940, to Marcel and Dorothy (Fee) Bourgoin in Watertown, N.Y., where she was raised until she was 18 years old. She then lived throughout the country and settled in North Idaho in 1969.

Joan leaves behind her children, Pat James of Coeur d'Alene, James Irwin of Coeur d'Alene, Ralph Irwin of Coeur d'Alene, Ernie Irwin of Salem, Ore., and Charity Valdivia of Coeur d'Alene; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Olson and grandchildren, Annie and Andy Momb.

Joan loved and enjoyed her family, friends and pets, and will be truly missed.

Joan's wishes were that no services were to be held. Yates Funeral Homes and Crematory are in care of her arrangements.
