OINK! Prairie Pig gratitude

| December 26, 2010 7:14 AM

I would like to thank everyone in the Post Falls community for helping Post Falls High School to raise over seven thousand pounds of food for the food bank. This is an all-time record for our school's Prairie Pig food drive. Thanks to your contributions, we not only helped the people of our community, but we also brought home Porkchop. Yes, I mean the pig.

I also thank my fellow students at PFHS for putting together an outstanding Prairie Pig competition. From the spirit competitions to the food drive, everyone did an outstanding job. As a Senior, I will remember this forever. Of course, I must also give some praise to our competitors, the Lakeland Hawks, who also did fundraisers to help those in need.

PFHS has now won the pig six years out of 15 years of the competition's existence, and the community deserves a lot of credit. Thank you very much my fellow Post Fallsians.
