EUGENE, Ore. - Brandon Wiley scored 14 points for Idaho and the Vandals held off Oregon's second-half rally to win 69-65 on Tuesday night.

Landon Tatum added 11 points for Idaho (6-5), which won the last nonconference game on Oregon's McArthur Court. The Ducks will move into Matthew Knight Arena in two weeks.

"As a team, we thought we let a couple get away in Seattle U and Montana, but we got one back tonight," Idaho coach Don Verlin said. "I couldn't be happier to come here and beat a program like this at a storied venue. It was loud, and I thought our guys really held their composure."

Joevan Catron led all scorers with 18 points for Oregon (7-5), which made just 7 of 29 3-point attempts and was outshot 61-32 percent in the first half and 49-34 percent overall.

Catron scored 14 in the second half, including eight straight at one point and the first six points in a 10-2 run that gave the Ducks a 55-54 lead - their first of the second half - with 9:38 to play.

Idaho went 7 for 8 from the free-throw line and eventually reclaimed the lead, 57-55, after a pair of foul shots by Stephen Madison. Deremy Geiger's 3-pointer two minutes later put the Vandals ahead 62-55.

Armstead made 1 of 2 free throws with 1:34 to play to cut the Ducks deficit to a basket, 64-62, but Wiley answered with a score inside and Oregon missed its next four shots as the Vandals built a 69-62 advantage in the final minute before Armstead hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Idaho returns to action Dec. 29 at home vs. New Mexico State in the Western Athletic Conference opener.
