Stellar goal within reach

| December 22, 2010 8:00 PM

It's so close, you can almost taste those sugar plums.

At 5 p.m. Tuesday, thanks to a tremendous donation from the employees at Transtector Systems, Press Christmas for All reached $187,991 collected so far in this, the 25th annual campaign. That means a mere $12,009 is needed in the next two days to reach the goal of $200,000.

We can do that!

We can reach the goal in large part because Anonymous in Athol, who already has donated $10,000, pledged an additional $10,000 if the community drive reaches $190,000 by Thursday. With just a little bit of luck the $190,000 summit will be conquered by noon today.

With a $15,000 contribution Tuesday, Transtector remains the single most generous employee group to contribute to Press Christmas for All. The employees

create an assortment of fundraising raffles, bake sales and other challenges to raise money for the charity every year.

"Our friends at Transtector remind us that just about anything is possible in this amazing community," said Art Flagan, president of Press Christmas for All.

Press Christmas for All will continue its campaign through Christmas Eve, ensuring that every penny donated goes to needy Kootenai County families.

GOAL: $200,000

RAISED SO FAR: $187,991

DEADLINE: Christmas Eve
