Authorities seeking stalking suspect

The North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force is seeking information leading to the apprehension of Jeremy Gage Whittington.

Whittington, 28, is being sought based on a Kootenai County warrant charging him with a probation violation.

He is on probation for first-degree stalking.

This is a United States extradition warrant with a $50,000 bond.

Whittington is a white male, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 215 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

He was last known to be living in the Post Falls area.

Anyone with information regarding this subject or other fugitives being sought for violent crimes should call the NIVCTF 665-1471.

The identity of callers will remain confidential and reward money is available.

Good Sams donate for Christmas

COEUR d'ALENE - The North Kootenai Good Sam Chapter is being good this Christmas.

The group of about 40 members donated food, clothes, toys and gift certificates to three families.

President Herb Heisel said they've been doing this for the past five years, and enjoy helping families cover their basic needs while also providing a few extra gifts.

"It is good that people in our area see the need and help where they can," Heisel said.
